Everything is interconnected: Sustainability in a Circular Economy

When we talk about sustainable urban design, it's not just about creating more green spaces. It's also about how these solutions are created, how they are used, and what happens to them afterwards.

This is precisely where we come in at MobiGa: every system is part of a larger cycle that begins with the initial material and ultimately opens up new possibilities.

 

Materials with responsibility

Every material in our systems is carefully selected.

FSC©-certified Kebony wood, for example, which lasts at least 30 years thanks to a special treatment, without the need for chemical glazes. Uncoated stainless steel is durable and fully recyclable. Peat-free substrates from regional cycles not only store water, but also permanently store CO₂. Even the sun sails are made of recyclable polyethylene monofilament. They provide shade, collect rainwater, and eventually flow back into the cycle.

This means that sustainability is not just a feature that we add to our systems retrospectively, but is embedded in every detail right from the start.

Use and disclosure

The circular concept does not end with completion. Rental systems are reconditioned after use and reused. We transform old sun sails into bags, wood scraps or substrates find a place in new systems, and used IBC containers become storage units in the next model series. Waste materials become raw materials – again and again.

Our processes are also designed to conserve resources. We produce waste-free, avoid unnecessary packaging, and rely on modular construction. Individual parts can be replaced without having to replace the entire system. This allows us to significantly extend the service life and reduce the amount of material used.

 

Long-lasting effect

Ultimately, it is this cycle that makes our systems so special: they reduce heat islands, create cooler places to stay, and invite people to spend time outdoors. With shrubs, herbs, and climbing plants, they promote biodiversity and improve the microclimate. At the same time, they are robust, repairable, and can be used for many years.

This is how ecological impact, social quality, and technical design come together as a whole. For us, sustainability is not an add-on, but the core of every single system.
